Tournament Report - 2E Standard - Deep Space 9 Regional
2011-04-16 - 11:00 AM
DS9-EarthBenjamin Sisko and Luther Sloan's Dance Party.
Introduction
Was running a Tweaked version of my DS9/E deck to be built for more speed, Cut alot of skill gaining out and added some TaTVs to run through the deck a bit quicker, did pretty well, and had just a few things gone differently, the results could have been crazy different.

Round 1CardassianAltoidFL (-30)
This game opened off well with scoring 5 points from Croden, but went worse and worse with poor draws and some iffy dilemma plays. Had a chance at the end to draw another Holding Cell which would have bought me some more turns with a Causal Recursion in Altoids core. Kudo's to him for Interrupt spamming through a mission attempt and Gomtuu. I think there were a multiple of Comfort Women and Standard Punishments that blew through the crazies. Was able to get done Survey New World and Advance Battle to make it close.

Round 2TNGMichael MoskopFW (+65)
Mike was playing a TNG deck hes been working on for a while. Scored a big Holding Cell early on when he played Kirk OT. Though it seemed like I can somehow draw out some simple mistakes as I got a mis seeded dilemmma which may have given me an easy space mission to start before trekkin through my 2 planets. Shocking Betrayal also was a top performer as it really just hit hard and quick by killing off Diplomacy people.

Round 3KlingonMichael Van BreemenFL (-35)View opponent's Report
Games vs MVB are always fun no matter how they turn out. Ever since nationals he has had me paranoid about Tragic Turn and Kill All Mega Death dilemma piles, so I wasn't going no where vs him without Ezri Bashir Sao Paulo and Med Teams. I seemed to botch with my skill tracking constantly and really really should have faired better since Klingons have alot of skill holes that I should have been hitting with Counterinsurgency and ID, but I seemed to whiff on all of em. Still did ok though, solving 2 mission's to atleast make it close before he rifled off a Quadruple Ba'ht Qul Challenge in one turn to finish the 2 mission solver.

Round 4BorgMike BurkeFW (+25)
Mike was playing a mega sized borg deck. Quintessence seemed to discard a lot of strong interrupts and ships which slowed him down enough. I run a lot of kill prevention which helped out tremendously vs Tragic Mega Death as the Sao Paulo + Ezri and Med Teams can create a nasty little shield. Two space were a breeze but the planet was deathly with my entire crew - 1 being wiped out. Luck was with me though as I was able to stop his last mission attempt of 16 people by He Wasn't Niceing Locutus and Moral Choicing Lwaxana Troi who got infected by some domesticated pets, with a Infinite Diversity to hit the Diplomacy, was able to solve my last mission and end the game.

Round 5RomulanBrian LeonardFW (+100)
Brian L was busting out his Romulan deck for this tourney. I had a opening draw of the 4 non humans, but no Prom or Jaresh Inyo's to speed it up. Though it seemed like Brian had bigger Woes as a ship didn't come out for a long long time. And by the time It did, I had a beastor crew of Worf and 7 4 Costers and 1 5 coster, and really could plow through most dilemmas. Was able to stop him at his first mission with various skill tracking and speed to a FW.
