TOSMy Tos Romantic Comedy Snafu Too
Introduction
Whew, two intense days of Trek culminate in this day two event. I gave some thought to what to play with several options coming to the table. The ToS + Trellium Kill that I ran on day 1, Rainbow DS9 Anti-Kill and Cardy Dissident Capture Two Mission win were all on the table. In the end I chose my Day 1 deck since I felt the most comfortable overall.

Round 1BajoranSteve NelsonFL (-70)
I had fits with this deck at the regional, so I was hoping not to see it show up. But alas there it was. I couldn't get a Coordinated Counterattack out early enough to stop the Bajoran skill gaining cheese from starting up, nor did I draw the Grav-Plates until it was too late in the game. I got one mission done, but could never get a second ship out to pick up my dude off in a battle arena with Bajorans which caused all sorts of bonus points to start piling up. This game pretty much went similarly to the regional match. Steve pulling out a two mission win off Just like Old Times and Hand Weapons.

Round 2BajoranCardassianJoshua SheetsFW (+35)
Josh was running some bonkyass Dual HQ deck with Cardassians and Bajorans. They got hit pretty hard early on through Trellium Kills and various other hijinx. Again CC didn't really show up to stop the Enemy of my Enemy, though that really didn't come into that big of a play. I got a bit careless after storming through my first two missions and piling up dilemmas underneath mission three which let Josh make some good headway and solve two missions thanks a whiff on my end on a Rapid Progress. But Cardy's don't handle the kills that well and it was enough to secure the FW for me. All in all a fun game. Seems like Sheets had back to back Trellium kill piles to deal with too which is rough.

Round 3TOSJohn CorbettFW (+65)
This game was all around fun. I appreciate a ToS mirrior match, even if it was that 8472 poop. I've done a decent amount of study on how to best deal with the 8472 dilemmas, Thanks to my awesome amount of Event Destruction through Scotty, Decker and GPTs thanks to an Uhura download I was able to keep Corbetts CC off the table each turn and pretty much cheat my way through victory with a Bridge Officers Test, Driven, Sec Drills, and Finally John Harriman. Had I not finished my when I did, it would have been an interesting next turn with a total of 7 8472 in Core, Combined Attack had already been expended, so the dilemma plays would have been interesting to see unfold.

Closing Thoughts
I don't regret my deck choice as it played overall very well. As any game had I gotten a CC out early on vs Nelson that would have helped tremendously, and the deck worked great vs Sheets and Corbett. A great two days of fun and thanks to Maggie for setting up and running the event and to all who came to Chicago for the event!
