What happened to Scotty? |
Introduction |
I decided to go with tos with the notion that, if I got my 55 points from Deliver Ancient Artifact, I could solve Dyson Sphere for 60 (45 from having 5 different card types in discard pile, Tallera and the Ent-b). This would give me 15 points to spend for Field Studies to solve relatively easily... |

Round 1 | | Eagleonhigh | FW (+100)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
New person!!!! I felt bad about killing 7 people of his but I helped when I could (allowing takebacks of misplayed dilemmas, etc.) I accidentally solved Deliver for 45 (had the Strength requirements, go figure) so I solved Dyson with the normal requirements and Ent-B. |

Round 2 | | Al Schaefer | FW (+65)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
Al was playing Dominion with the excluding folks which made my dilemmas a mental taxing experience. I got 55 from Deliver but I had already discarded 2 Field Studies and only had 3 different card types in the discard pile. Thankfully, he gave 5 points with Odo that paid for my last Field Studies to make the mission a walk for the win. |
MVB was playing a TOS solver and ACE dilemma pile. I was expecting something totally random for his draw pile, but I wasn't surprised by his dilemma choice. I used both my Escapes to limit ACE kills, but still lost time replacing my crew. Greasy Dukat, again didn't show up until late and I couldn't limit his lost pile for Dyson Sphere. TOS was much faster than the Dominion, and I had to give him points with Odo in order to complete my second mission and have a shot at my final, but it was not to be and MVB won a hard fought game. |

Round 3 | | Michael Moskop | FW (+65)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
He was playing DS9 earth and lost all 8 people in space. Meanwhile I grinded through my missions and, after destaffing him again at Assess Contamination, got through Dyson for the win. |
During the virtual tournament the night before, MVB was swearing up and down he wouldn't win this tournament. Then he shows up with a TOS speed solver and a kill pile. He killed all 8 of my personnel on my first attempt and then killed all 7 of my personnel at my second mission. It is experiences like this that make the game not fun. |
|
Round 4 | | Eric Bieche | FW (+65) |
Big thing was him forgetting to download Relativity. Second big thing was solving Deliver for only 45 but on the first attempt. Still, my dilemma pile failed me for the most part so I needed each of these mistakes to win. |
