Discard-Tally |
Introduction |
This is one of the most crazy tournaments I have played in a long time, perhaps ever. I played with one of my most successful decks, Discard Tally, which has been borrowed several times over the past years with great success. |
|
Round 1 | | | () |
In the first round Jonathan went out with only 222 points, after scoring 1 twice for Utilize/Poison. After the first round Anna was in the lead after scoring 100k from a poison.
The second round was a bit longer and Wictor scored loads of points from both Utilize and Toxin. Thanks to Toxin I scored a few points as well on my Tallys. Wictor went out and was in a solid lead with 356k with Anna second on 111k.
Round 3 was another round with a few toxins and some Utalize/poison points. I went out for 333k and raised to second place. Victor was in the lead with 467k with me 33k behind after round 3.
In round 4 quite a few Toxins and poisons scored high points. I scored over 400k on Tallys from other players Toxins, and my own Toxins. Wictor scored 280k from his Utilize and Toxin. Wilmer went out for 152k and went up to 3rd place.
The last round was a formidable onlsaught in points from Toxins and a few Utilze/Poison. I scored 350k from Toxins and my Tallys. Wictor scored 330k from moslty Toxins and Utilize. Wilmer was the "worst" offendor in the Toxin war and scored 460k from that. To finish it off he Rescued an Antidote to the top of his deck right before Anna poisoned him. 100k from Antidote and 248k from going out rendered him a total of 1095k, only 10k behind the winner (me) and 5k ahead of Wictor in 3rd place. |

Closing Thoughts |
Toxin in itself is a good counter against Discard decks. The main problem is Tally which make the Discard player score points from it and Masaka taking the and down. That makes Discard decks so good it is worth playing, and lots of Toxins and Masaka makes the rounds take a long time. |
