Relativity can be fast |
Introduction |
This is what happens when you netdeck an MVB deck that wasn't built for achievements. I didn't have anything ready of my own, and I spotted the MVB day 1 worlds Relativity. I thought about changing the dilemma pile (I liked the quarter Chula pile that Stefan Slaby played at worlds) but on the day I chickened out and went with 0 changes from the original. |
Round 1 | | Oliver Thust | FL (-65) |
Oliver might have seen this deck at worlds. In any case it felt like he was way ahead of me, and I didn't know my own deck very well at this stage. He really seemed to anticipate every move, a deserved winner. |

Round 2 | | Jon Fry | FW (+70) |
I think this was Jon's first online tournament. Tbh I can't remember much except Klingon low cost dudes all over the place. |
Round 3 | | Eric R | FW (+70) |
Also Eric's first online tournament, playing a complex assimilator. The assimilation didn't really get going, I'm sure partly due to losing lots of verbs to Dreamer and the Dream. He did get me back with one Dreamer but Captain's Holiday and Nothing to Lose kept hitting hard. |
Round 4 | | Nathan W | FW (+100) |
Seems like Naetor had some bad draws and it got worse with Dreamer followed by Nothing to Lose two attempts in a row. That took out all the TNG speed verbs and he was just left with a bunch of high cost people who couldn't keep up with Relativity. |
Round 5 | | Amber Van Breemen | FW (+65) |
70 card mirror match! AVB got a REALLY bad draw compared to mine. I got the christening for free Relativity download, she ended up having to discard 4 cards to fetch. Ouch. |

Closing Thoughts |
Definitely my best finish in a top level trek event so far, good times! |
