| My first 2E tournament in a while, and my first draft tournament in ... probably since I helped to design the ID draft format. ;-)
I was using the Dominion War draft packs (we had 12 players, so three pods of four, each using a different draft pack). I started drafting Klingon and Cardassian, but by the end of the second pack I realized that I was the only person drafting Cardassian, so I focussed on just drafting them and left the Klingons behind. Which is too bad too, because I'd drafted a nice Sword of Kahless that I'd have to set aside with them. Ah well. Oh, and as a special surprise once we were done drafting all out packs, Charlie gave me some "Top Secret" packs containing an assortment of dilemmas and NA personnel from the new (announced and released the following day) expansion, which was lots of fun!
Unfortunately, my memory of actual games is pretty bad this far later... in general the deck worked pretty well, but I think in the first game I was missing a required mission skill for most of the game; I added it afterwards, and things worked better as a result in game 2. But then game 3 obviously didn't turn out for me... |
