If you're travelling by subway, take the 7 train to the Vernon-Jackson station (one stop east of Grand Central Station). You will exit onto 50th Avenue. Walk west along 50th avenue in the opposite direction of traffic (you should be heading towards the Empire State Building, visible in the distant background).
If you are travelling by car, there will be ample free street parking (as well as a few pay garages available). However, leave travel time to get through Manhattan traffic.
